From 'Frampton-on-Severn Gravel Pits and their Transport Links': Workers at Frampton gravel pit pose for the photographer, circa December 1905, beside Manning Wardle 0-4-0ST, Aird & Co. No. 16 and a rake of contractors-type side-tip wagons. These are lettered 'J.A&Co.' with a number below – 64 in the case of the wagon on the extreme left. The line of trees marks the Perry Way road, in front of which stands a line of wagons containing what appears to be topsoil. To the right can be seen a stationary pumping engine with a vertical boiler. On the original print countless bicycles can be discerned leaning against the distant hedge.
