From: The Hetty Winding Engine The Hetty engine photographed by George Watkins on August 30th 1967.
From: Ravenglass in May 1951 Crushed granite for local use being tipped into road transport at Ravenglass. The lorry belongs to the Keswick Granite Co. and would appear to be a model 7V Fordson Thames. The bridge to the left is where the main road into Ravenglass passes under the Ravenglass & Eskdale line, and shortly afterwards the main line, and the remains of the loading chute can still be seen to this day. The building at the top of the bank is the R&E engine shed.
