ago but old workings are again being worked by Isaiah Stephens, registered
owner.
Quantity worked last year 363 tons.
Water lifted up shafts and delivered on surface - drains naturally
until it hits occupation road - great damage to road.
Stephens commenced work in October 1880 - water tipped to follow natural
drainage, always had been. Inhabitants had diverted natural drainage
into old quarries from where it perculated into Society workings.
Thats why Stephens diverted it back to its natural course.

14 july 1893 from 1877 to time of death last year Ellis was owner of two-thirds. Executors wish to surrender.
May 1894 gale vested in John Mortimer, Frederick Ward, George Thomas Stephens, Thirza Mary Gwilliam and Isaiah Stephens.
