Rose-in-Hand

21 January 1842  for a pit, to Thomas Baldwyn of Little Dean, Woodside, and George Baldwyn, of Breams Eaves, near the Speech House, about 16 yards south of the turnpike road leading from Coleford to Cinderford, and about 100 yards east from the north-east corner of the Speech House land, to get the coal from the Churchway High Delf and all the veins above.
Note - a license for a tramway has been granted to Cornelius and Thomas Brain.
