12 February 1892 Sale of moiety.  Arrears £11 14s. 8d.  Served auctioneers with a notice at the sale but the colliery was not sold.

Potlid in the Coleford High Delf and Trenchard seams together with the plant, situate at the Middle Pit, and consisting of Single Cylinder Engine, with Boiler, Winding Drum, Rope, Pit Framing and Wheel, Guides, Pit Carts, Quantity of Rails, large Quantity of Pit Wood, Stricker Plates, Water Cart, Wooden Ventilating Trunks, Weighing Machine etc. etc.
Under an agreement with the owner of the other moiety the Vendor has the right to work the coal on the South Side of the Fault called 'The Horse' upon payment to such owner of an improved Royalty per Ton of 6d. for Block Coal, 5d. for Through Coal, 4d. for Small Coal, and such owner holds an agreement upon similar terms from the Vendor to work the coal on the North Side.
The portable engine and winding drum situate at the Middle Pit will be offered for sale after the sale of the colliery.

27 March 1896  Edward Porter, Berry Hill, had heard Crown had some buildings for sale near Snatch and old engine pit no. 446, also land near the old engine pit.
The Old Engine Pit and Snatch Crust pit, marked erroneously as New Fore Pit, are both upon Valletts Level No. 2 gale, granted to James Brain.  Old Engine Pit filled up.

23 February 1914  Amos Brown having found it necessary to close the Bush Pit No. 2 on the Potlid gale in consequence of the coal being worked out.

12 January 1924  Conveyance Amos Brown to Sydney Taylor

10 March 1924  Sydney Taylor to the Cannop Vale Collieries Co. Ltd.  Conveyances deal with an agreement dated 30 June 1922 between Brown and milsom Hamblin relating to coal in the Yorkley vein only of the gale lying to the north of The Horse.

12 March 1926  Cannop Vale Collieries Co. Ltd. in voluntary liquidation on the 6th.  Directors:- J. S. P. Samborne, O. Edwards, O. Willcox.  Money owing to directors, each of whom had put in about £1,900 odd.  Assets included £1,500 in the Nine Wells Co.
Had had an offer for the colliery.
Mr. E. C. Heal had been giving misleading reports.

Amos Brown deceased by 31 December 1932, had New Potlid, Valletts Level No. 2, Trenchard No. 2, Smith's Trenchard, Fox's Trenchard, New Stoney Stile, Mansfields Trenchard, New Hawkin's No. 2, Slopes Trenchard.
