15 June 1842  in equal parts to Giles Adams, of Shortstanding, and John Worgan, junr. of Five Acres, for a level near Shortstanding upon the site of an old level called Luck-in-the-Way to get the coal from the Coleford High Delf.
No coal to be worked from under Christ Church, the school and Parsonage House.

31 October 1863  Lonk Level and Patches.  'I purchased these collieries...Lonk Level £25 and Patches £45 maybe some pillars of coal left in old workings could be worked with Arles Level Colliery.  J. T. Thomas.

28 October 1902  Not worked.

11 November 1902  Benjamin Young, Bridewell Colliery to work Patches.

3 August 1906  To be surrendered by B. Young on 3 February 1907.  Finally done on 20 September 1909.

11 May 1923 Dean Forest Mercury Applications for Patches Colliery gale.

10 February 1926  Original grant Patches No. 2.  Conveyance A. Morgan & others to Hughes & King.
 Original grant Lonk Level.  Conveyance George Hughes to Hughes & King.
Conveyance T. W. King to A. E. Hughes both gales.

25 June 1930 King & Hughes had dissolved partnership.  Colliery not worked for some time.  No work since January, trying to sell plant.  Second pit towards Berry Hill.

19 July 1939  Liable for forfeiture.
