Old Croft Level

17 December 1844  in equal parts to William Morgan, of Edenwall, and John Jordan of Cleverend Green, for a level situate at Old Croft, about 50 yards south of the lower stone stile leading to Soilwell Farm, to get the coal from the Coleford High Delf and all veins of coal above the same.

22 September 1848  Morgan & Jordan.  Coal only fit for coking carried on close to the pit but as on high ground smoke was damaging nearby trees.
