Holly Hill

30 August 1842  to James Matthews of Drybrook for a pit 50 yards north of the Tormentor Pit and 30 yards east from the Holly Hill Inclosure fence to get the coal from the Coleford High Delf, Brazilly and No Coal veins
The No Coal was added on 5 August 1844 to save the grant of a separate gale

October 1887  William in Hobart, Tasmania, had sold his share to T.Bís daughter Emily

31 January 1893  Forfeited for non-working.  This was due to it being a deep gale and following the failure of New Bowson the owners were reluctant to do anything.
