Church Hill (1)

7 February 1843  Granted to James Whitson of Joyford, for a level situate at the bottom of Church Hill, near Eastbatch Brook where the said brook crosses the road from Bicknor Street to Eastbatch, to get the coal from the Trenchard vein.

September 1861  Arrears of dead rent stood against Richard White of Nailbridge.
He also held Bicknor (above).

11 March 1867  Forfeited.

2 April 1875  Regaled in part as New Church Hill to Noah Howells of Coalway Lane End to be called New Churchill Colliery.
