Central

8 August 1864  to William Wintle of Parkend for a gale situate at or near Foxes Bridge to get coal from the Coleford High Delf and any other seams of coal lying underneath the Churchway High Delf.
To be called the ‘Central Colliery’.
This was one of the Deep Gales and before the grant was made the Crown debated the matter due to the problems with the East Dean Deep Gale below.

Later part of Central was contained in Holly Hill United which in turn became part of the Northern United gale.
