First published in 1913 by The United Stone Firms Ltd, this extremely rare little booklet was a promotional item extolling the qualities of the stone quarried in Dean, which still finds much favour amongst city architects today. There are brief sections on buildings constructed of Forest stone, its properties in regard to hardness and fire resistance and the quarrying industry in Dean, plus 8 illustrations, including 4 of the quarries themselves.
